Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
  3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips, then use a tablespoon-sized cookie scoop or spoon and drop 12 mounds onto each parchment lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake the cookies for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown, then transfer the cookies onto a cooling rack.
  8. Serve warm, or store them in an airtight container for future snacking.
