Ingredients

  • 4 6 oz salmon fillets 2" thick
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons seasoned rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp mirin sweet rice wine
  • 3 tbsp agave nectar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 4 green onions sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds toasted

Instructions

  1. Mix up the marinade by combining all the ingredients (minus the salmon).
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a non-reactive dish or a plastic ziptop bag, then pour the marinade over the salmon.
  3. Marinate the salmon in the fridge at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.
  4. When you're ready to cook up the salmon, preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the salmon for 5 to 8 per side, depending on how you well-done like your salmon.
