Mix up the marinade by combining all the ingredients (minus the salmon).

Place the salmon fillets in a non-reactive dish or a plastic ziptop bag, then pour the marinade over the salmon.

Marinate the salmon in the fridge at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.

When you're ready to cook up the salmon, preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Sear the salmon for 5 to 8 per side, depending on how you well-done like your salmon.
