A coffee flavored twist on this classic Puerto Rican holiday beverage
Combine the coffee, milks and cream of coconut in a blender.
Add the cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Blend to combine.
Add the rum (if desired). Refrigerate for 1 hour, to allow the flavors to blend.
Serve cold.
Feel free to add more or less rum, just replace any amount you cut with an equal amount of whole milk.
For even more coffee flavor, add 1-2 teaspoons of instant espresso powder to the mix.
Can't drink or don't like rum? Substitute a flavored vodka (I suggest coconut or vanilla!)
For a non-alcoholic or virgin coquito, cut out the rum, and replace it with whole milk.
