Carne Bif (Puerto Rican Stewed Corned Beef)

  1. Heat a saute pan on medium heat, and add the olive oil and sofrito.

  2. Saute the sofrito until fragrant, but make sure it doesn't start to brown.  This should take a minute or two.
  3. Add in the canned corned beef and break it up with the back of a spoon, the same way you would with ground meat.

  4. Next, add the Adobo, Sazon & tomato sauce.

  5. Stir in the seasonings, and add the water.  

  6. Lastly, stir in the corn and cooked diced potatoes.

  7. Cover with a lid and allow to simmer on a low flame for 5-10 minutes.

  8. Serve with rice, avocados and maduros or french fries for the full, authentic experience!
