This recipe is hardly a recipe. Â It has only 3 ingredients! Â I first tried these at a summer picnic, and they were amazingly delish! When I found out how easy they were to make, I was sold. These are so elegant, and so easy to make. Â They’re a great dessert option for parties, and you can also give them away as party favors and holiday gifts. Some lucky people in my life will definitely be getting these amazing treats for the upcoming holiday season!
8 oz. cream cheese
36 Oreo cookies (or equivalent generic brand)
20 ounces semi sweet chocolate, melted
Place the cookies into a food processor. Â Blend them until they’re completely crushed.
Add the cream cheese into the food processor.
Blend until the cookie crumbs and cream cheese come together like a ball of dough.
Scoop the mixture into a bowl.
Scoop out 1 tablespoon sized balls and roll them in your hand to form the inside of the truffles.
Freeze them for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a double boiler (place a metal pot over a pan that contains simmering water) add in the chopped chocolate and melt it gently, constantly stirring.
Using 2 forks, roll each Oreo truffle in the melted chocolate, then place them on wax paper to cool and harden.
Refrigerate them for an hour, or until ready to serve.
