If you don’t like mango or are allergic, you can definitely swap out the mango with pineapple, papaya, peaches. nectarines or even kiwi! This recipe is super flexible, so it’s really easy to swap out ingredients you don’t like for ones that you do. Don’t like cilantro? Leave it out! Not a fan of red onion? Swap out for a milder shallot or green onion. Don’t have lime juice? Swap out lemon juice or even orange juice!

Quick and Easy Fresh Mango Salsa
- 1 mango, peeled and diced About 1½ cups
- ½ red bell pepper, seeded diced About 1/2 cup
- ⅓ cup red onion, diced About half of a small red onion
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- ½ tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp agave nectar or honey
- salt and pepper, to taste
In a serving bowl, combine the prepared mango, bell pepper, onion, cilantro and jalapeño. Drizzle with the juice of one lime, olive oil and agave and mix well. Season to taste with salt. For best flavor, let the salsa rest for 10 minutes or longer.
