This sweet and savory watermelon salsa is a tropical twist on a classic recipe, and it goes great with so many things!
Is there anything that screams summer more than watermelon? On a hot summer day, there aren’t much things that are more satisfying and refreshing than a slice of cold, crisp watermelon, am I right? But there so much more you can do with watermelon than just slice it up.
My watermelon salsa puts a sweet and spicy twist on a classic fresh salsa. It’s like a taste of summer in a bowl. Sweet, juicy watermelon is combined with cucumber, onion, basil and jalapeno for a sweet, tangy, spicy salsa that goes great with just about everything! If you’re looking for a fresh alternative to pico de gallo, you definitely need to try this mouthwatering delight!
This is the perfect side dish for grilled fish, chicken, seafood or even just to top some tortilla chips! Just look at how fresh and vibrant this salsa is, isn’t it gorgeous?! I think pineapple, mango and papaya would also be great additions to this salsa.
